About

Hey! I'm Urtats, if you haven't already gathered that by now. I'm an engineer from Bilbao, Spain. I specialize in machine learning and AI, primarily in AI, but I consider myself a jack of all trades.

Coding has always been my passion! I think it all started when I was 12, experimenting with basic projects in Scratch. Fast forward to today, I'm a grown-up computer engineer (still feels surreal sometimes!).

This enthusiasm for creating and exploring in tech led me to land a job atWoza Labs. Or maybe it was simply luck 🍀. Whatever the case, I've been thriving in this field for the past 2 years, and I can't wait to see what's next!

I have always been a curious guy so whenever I needed to learn anything, and I could not find enough resources on the internet, I did some private courses 📚:

College Studies

I'm currently studying at the University of UPV/EHU in northern Spain, specifically in San Sebastian, at theComputer EngineeringFaculty. My degree started with two years focused on understanding computers at a low level, which gave me a solid foundation in how they work.

In my third year, I had the chance to specialize, and I chose theComputational and AI mention. For the last two years, I’ve been diving into exciting topics like scientific computation, graphic engines, advanced algorithms, compilers, and of course, AI and Machine Learning.

The AI-focused courses covered areas like Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and Time Series Analysis, while algorithm courses taught me how to approach and solve complex problems. All of this has shaped me into a well-rounded computer engineer with a strong technical background.
